It can be said that Black women are one (if not the) most marginalized and unacknowledged group of individuals today. Since this a piece of our cultural fabric, we must continuously strive to reverse this damaging narrative, and turn to educating and honoring our own. In the United States alone, the media & entertainment industry is projected to make a whooping $771 billion by 2019. This behemoth money making machine wouldn't be able to function without the many black and brown faces (especially women) making your television come to life behind the scenes.
