Black Women have shaped and changed the world for the better in a myriad of different ways, yet are often minimized. At every moment in history, Black women have worked alongside their male counterparts. Many extraordinary women, and often unsung heroes, played significant roles in the Civil Rights Movement Jim Crow, Black Codes and more. Their words and actions continue to inspire our work as we fight for a better and equal world for all people.
